I graduated from Cairo University, Egypt in 2000 with a First Class Honours in Information Systems. I then completed a M.Sc. in Information Systems in 2003 at the same university. I have received my Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2008 from the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Ireland.
I am on the Program Committee of the International Conference on Advances in Databases, Knowledge, and Data Applications, Mobilität und mobile Informationssysteme (MMS 2009) and International Workshop on Modelling and Visualization of XML and Semantic Web Data (MoViX'09). I am also on the Program Committee and a Co-chair for the International Workshop on Managing Data with Mobile Devices (MDMD 2009). I also review papers for various conferences and journals in the areas of mobile databases, context-aware systems, and XML data management.
